Include 10 hour day and all meals included. All tackle and gear is provided.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Prepare yourself for a FULL 10 hour day of fishing! We will be utilizing both casting and trolling techniques. Usually alternating from spot to spot to keep it interesting, and to give your arms a much needed break. All tackle and equipment is provided. If you have your own Musky casting rig, you are welcome to bring it along. If so, have at least 80lb. braided line equipped with high quality leaders. In this case, guide will provide gear for trolling.

CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY

The South Dakota Game Fish and Parks has been managing Musky waters in South Dakota for many years. Muskies in South Dakota are currently catch and release ONLY, thus providing excellent opportunities for hookups and trophy class fish. SoDak Muskies Guide Service will provide all the measurements and photos you need to ensure you have everything you need for an excellent replica to be produced by your taxidermist.

WHAT TO BRING

Your trip with SoDak Muskies will provide you with ALL tackle and equipment you need to land your South Dakota trophy, but here are a few things you will need to bring along to make sure you have the best experience possible.

Appropriate clothing for the weather. Rain gear is a good idea, unless you want to wear a trash bag. Trash bags are very unattractive and uncomfortable. Let's not take a picture of your trophy with you wearing a trash bag!
High quality polarized sunglasses. Don't miss the fish of a lifetime because you can't see him following the perfect figure 8.
Snacks and beverages. SoDak Muskies will provide fresh made lunch and bottle water and a cooler to keep your items cold. So if you have any favorite snacks or beverages bring them along, no alcoholic beverages on the boat please.
Personal items. The boat is equipped with a first aid kit. However, please bring your own medication, pain reliever, etc. Insect repellent and sun screen are a great idea! Please bring lotion forms of these items for the sprays do not pair well with the equipment on the boat.
Positive attitude! Musky fishing is a commitment, it is a hunt. Hunting trophy Musky takes time and patience. You never know when the fish of a lifetime will show itself. Take time to enjoy the scenery, the fellowship and swap some great fish stories. When that fish is on, be ready and enjoy the hunt! For LUCK, is when PREPAREDNESS meets OPPORTUNITY!
